CITB SITE SAFETY PLUS

 The SSP ‘Site Safety Plus’ suite of courses is operated by CITB and provides the building, civil engineering and other allied industries with a range of courses for people seeking to develop their skills and health and safety understanding in their respective field. 

These safety-lead courses typically run alongside a relevant CSCS card (i.e. someone undertaking the HSA Health & Safety Awareness course may need to obtain the Green CSCS Labourer card or a Foreman may hold a SSSTS as well as a Gold Supervisor CSCS card). Any candidate requiring a CSCS card may need to undertake an NVQ as an addition to a SSP Site Safety Plus course; this NVQ acts as evidence of their occupational experience.
